How does Swapfiets work?
Swapfiets is a bike subscription service. For a low, fixed monthly fee, you get a Swapfiets bike and ongoing support. If your bike has an issue, just report it through the Swapfiets app and we’ll repair or swap it. Our goal is to keep you on two wheels without hassle.
What happens if my Swapfiets bike is broken?
No worries. If we can’t fix your bike in 10 minutes, we’ll swap it for a working one. Use the Swapfiets app to report the issue. If you're in a service area we can repair on the spot.
What happens if my Swapfiets bike is stolen?
Preventing theft starts with securing your ride! All our bikes come with in-built double locks, including battery locks for our e-Bikes. Always remember to double lock your bike. If someone steals it (or you lose it) when double locked, you’ll pay a surcharge, depending on the type of bike. But don’t stress. In the unfortunate event that your bike is stolen, we’ll help you file a police report and we’ll get you another Swapfiets right away - so you can get back on two wheels in no time.
What happens when I'm done with my subscription?
Cancel your membership easily in the Swapfiets app. All memberships have a one-month notice period. If you have a 6- or 12-month subscription and don’t want to keep your bike afterwards, make sure to cancel at least one month before the end of the term.
Once you return your bike, we’ll quickly check it and pass it on to the next member.
